Student PoliciesNON-DISCRIMINATION POLICYDHHTraining is committed to providing a learning environment that is free of discrimination. Equal opportunity will be extended to all persons in all aspects of our Program. DHHTraining will not discriminate against a student because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, or medical condition. If a student believes he/she is being discriminated against, he/ she should report the facts of the incident to the Instructor, the Career Consultant, or the Director of Admissions in writing (see Grievance and Appeal Procedures). ADMISSIONA student may be admitted into a DHHTraining Career Education Program upon satisfying all of the following requirements:
PAYMENT METHODSDHHTraining accepts payment from students via the following methods and sources:
COMMUNICATIONStudents are required to notify Student Services of any change in Address, Phone Number, Email Address, or Name. The primary method of communication used throughout our online programs is Email. It is the student's responsibility to continuously monitor their email address on file with DHHTraining. ORIENTATIONNew students are required to participate in a brief orientation prior to beginning their program. This helps familiarize students with the format and key components of the program, and helps ensure that each student is adequately prepared to begin their training. Student Services will contact you upon receiving delivery confirmation of your student package from the shipping source (typically FedEx). This orientation MUST take place at a point within 72 hours of your official Start Date. Although DHHTraining will initiate this contact, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that the orientation requirement is met. STUDENT ORIENTATION GUIDEA Student Orientation Guide will be provided to each student via email prior to their Start Date. It is important that each student review this guide in detail prior to their telephone orientation, and refer to it throughout their training for answers to frequently asked questions, component explanations, certification details, and contact information for Student Services and other departments within DHHTraining. PROGRESS AND TIMELINEWhile all DHHTraining programs are defined as "Self-Paced", each program has a defined duration (3, 4, or 6 months) during which progress will be monitored. If a student is determined to be off-pace of the recommended timeline, an academic advisor will be assigned to assess the student's situation, and assist with getting back on pace for completion within the recommended program duration. FINAL GRADEA final PASS/FAIL grade will be assigned based on the composite results of each Course Final Exam in your training. These exams are required, and only available in electronic format within the online video content of each program. In order to achieve a PASS for the program, students will need to have scored at least 60% on each individual assigned Final Exam. A PASS grade qualifies the student for receipt of a Certificate of Completion from DHHTraining. GRADUATION AND CERTIFICATIONStudents will receive a Certificate of Completion after the successful completion of each course. Students will also receive a certificate after passing vendor certification exams. DHHTraining DOES NOT grant certification. Certification is only earned by passing vendor exams. Students who successfully complete all courses and pass all related exams in their program will receive a Certificate of Program Completion from DHHTraining. NATIONAL CERTIFICATIONThe ultimate goal of each of the DHHTraining programs is to prepare students for national certification. PLEASE NOTE: DHHTraining does NOT administer national certification exams. Each Certification Exam is administered by the certifying body, at approved locations across the country. Successful completion of our online program is not a guarantee that the student will pass their certification exam(s). In addition to the core components of each program, we have included many additional resources to help students prepare for exams. Although not required, it is highly recommended that students utilize these resources throughout their training. NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAM REGISTRATIONRegistration for National Certification exams is included with each program. At the conclusion of training, it is the student's responsibility to contact Student Services when ready to be registered for these exams. In order to be registered for National Certification exams, students must have successfully completed 100% of the program content, including all Chapter Review Quizzes (80% min score), and Course Final Exams (60% min score). NOTE: The requirements for the Certification Exam component are INDEPENDENT of the final grade and/or Final Exam requirements. RETAKING EXAMSDHHTraining does not offer complimentary retakes for any exams unless so stated in your Student Agreement. Students whose programs do not include complimentary retakes will be responsible for all charges associated with scheduling and sitting for a retake examination. Students will then need to follow the steps outlined above for scheduling their examination. PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIESBy enrolling in a DHHTraining program, you have agreed to follow the curriculum as it has been designed. The content, order of courses, duration of program, and assignments (video lectures, chapter quizzes, course final exams, lab and workbook activities, textbook review, etc.) have been blended in such a way to provide students with the skill-sets, knowledge, and expertise required for certification success. REMEDIAL PLANAs needed and appropriate, student's schedules can be redefined from their original schedule to help the student complete the program in a timely manner. The course is restructured to have the student follow the program's chapter outline for each course by viewing videos, completing chapter quizzes, and course final exam. VIDEO LECTURE ACCESSAlthough the assigned program duration is 6 Months, DHHTraining grants an addition 6 Months of access to your online Video Lectures. This will enable ample time for review and preparation prior to sitting for your National Certification Exam(s). SUPPLEMENTAL OFF-LINE SOLUTIONSAny device or solution (ex. Flash Drive) that has been provided to allow for "off-line" viewing of the video lectures is meant to be used only when internet connectivity is temporarily not available. If you utilize this solution, it will be necessary to log in to the online video content to complete the chapter review quizzes and final exams, as these are required components of the program.
GRIEVANCE AND APPEALS PROCEDUREIf a satisfactory agreement cannot be reached through Student Services, you should then contact the Director of Admissions. It is the policy of DHHTraining to resolve student concerns in a swift and equitable manner. If the Director of Admissions upholds the initial decision, the student may appeal the decision in writing to DHHTraining within 30 days of the ruling. DHHTraining Executive Management will review the appeal and notify the student of its decision in writing. Appeals should be mailed to the General Manager at one of the locations below:
